This traffic light guide helps those supporting unaccompanied asylum seeking children to identify best practice, expected standards and red flag behaviour by legal representatives supporting them with their asylum claims.

Developed by MiCLU in collaboration with lawyers from Garden Court Chambers, representatives of local authorities and other organisations working in the sector, the guide focuses on the legal representation of UASC but can also be applicable to asylum-seeking children in families. There are some parts of the guide that might also assist looked after children that making non-asylum related immigration applications.
